About Miss Lady

Lady was one of the lucky rescues from the streets of Houston back in May of 1999. After many trips to her now favorite veterinarian, she came to live in our house full time. Since she had such a laid back temperament, her mom was able to get her involved as a therapy dog. In 2002 she became affiliated with a great organization in Houston called, Caring Critters (www.caringcritters.org). Since then she has visited many facilities such as Texas Children's Hospital, TIRR (Texas Institute for Rehabilitation) and MD Anderson Cancer Hospital. She has even helped to implement some of the programs in a few facilities. It has been a very rewarding chapter in her life ~ for both her and her mom.

Now, in the next phase of her life, she decided that a little more laid back job was in order. Boy was she surprised when she got hired to be "Assistant Manager" of food and treat testing at "Heights Urban Dog Boutique".. Although she only gets to visit and do her therapy a few times a month now, she loves this new adventure. Mom always told her that she would have this job some day.

Another facet of her job entails teaching and helping to train the many foster pups that come into her household (and now the Boutique) so that they can have a better chance at finding a home of their very own. If she could actually speak to you, we believe that she would not have it any other way.
